Our fabulous little bird bud vases are featured in Lucky Magazine’s “Black Book” section in the June Edition on page 64!  Needless to say, these vases have been flying out the door, but we are expecting our new shipment to come in this week so please place your orders – we can ship almost anywhere in the world.

As you might know, we closed for a couple of days in January to remodel our store.  We increased our floral production space by almost twice the size (yay!), but unfortunately had to reduce our retail space;  however, we still have a lovely selection of some of our most popular gifts including cards, jewelry, delicious artisan chocolates and beautiful specialty vases and containers!

We sourced these super cool vintage windows to act as a room divider between our floral production space and our retail checkout area – they have been most people’s favorite thing about our remodel.  If you’re in the Fremont area, please stop by and check us out!

We are very excited to announce that willow & bloom will be hosting a remodeling sale! We will be turning our space into a fabulous floral design studio, and expanding our wedding and event space. Along with our stunning flower arrangements, exquisite orchids and unique plant creations, we will be carrying hand selected gift items ranging from exquisite home accents and hand made cards, to tantalizing chocolates and beautiful jewelry.  In order to make room for this exciting expansion, we are putting everything* in our shop 50% off!!! Finally!!! We completed the new web site and launched it today. We are pleased with how it turned out and would like to thank Jill Olkoski with Aldebaran Web Design for all of her hard work. We hope that you enjoy all the new photos we have uploaded because we had a lot of fun picking them out.Keep checking in as we are constantly creating new and interesting design concepts for our florals and have been adding great product to the boutique just in time for the holidays! We just added Caldrea to our line of skin care and are working with a small fragrance and candle company in LA who have created the willow & bloom scent for us in a diffuser and candle. It seems that customers continuously ask “what is that scent?” when they walk in the door and we feel that we have been able to recreate something that customers can take home with them.

Some good news…we were featured today in Daily Candy for green weddings. We always like to use local farmers who practice organic and sustainable methods for farming and we carry a huge amount of their product when it’s in season. We are also able to get VeriFlora certified product from numerous commercial growers around the world.

If you are in the neighborhood, make sure to stop by for some treats…we signed up for the Fremont Trick or Treaters walk and have been told to expect up to 300 of the cutest little ghosts and goblins around! Have a great Halloween!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since our last post! We have had a lot going on…including a new website that’s under construction. Hopefully we’ll be able to launch that within a month, but as any of you with websites may know, it can be a really long process.

Since our last post, we have had a lot of great press coverage: Seattle PI (cover of business section), Seattle Magazine, NW Source, and we currently have a great spread in Seattle Bride that is currently on stands. We’re so thankful for our fantastic customers, our great staff and of course, the media outlets that have found willow & bloom to be just as special as we feel it is!

Currently, we are busy with wedding season and booking most of summer ’09 with some innovative and stylish brides that we are excited to work with. We have some great new merchandise coming into the shop and are excited for the holidays and the festive joy of the season. On our new website, we will be able to post specials and are coming up with some new signature designs for florals, plants and other gifts.

For any of you locals, we are going to be on KOMO TV’s Northwest Afternoon show tomorrow where Ali Basye, the Editor of Seattle Bride, will be highlighting new trends in the wedding industry. We will have a gorgeous bridal bouquet and one of our signature centerpieces that you can see if you watch the show!

We’ve been open for little over a month at our new retail boutique. Valentine’s Day was fantastic and we’ve been sending out numerous arrangements each day and getting great feedback so far on our collection of cards and gifts.

Hi everyone!

As some of you know, we are opening our first retail location this week in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle at 3415A Fremont Ave N.  We have been working very hard to renovate our new space, source creative artists’ works to sell and to find the right people to staff willow & bloom to make your shopping and floral experience a positive one.

We have a really talented staff and between all of us, we have specialties in large event design and coordination, weddings intimate to grand, European, Modern and Asian design styles as well as horticulture.

I’ve included some photos below of a few of our Valentine’s Day arrangements and if you would like to place an order for this special day, please email or call us and we’ll create a unique and beautiful arrangement that will “WOW” your loved one!

We have just launched our new website today with the help from Justin and his fabulous web site design company, Tellous Design, and our talented friend and photographer, Elke Van de Velde who took the photos that have the great lighting !

We did a beautiful fall wedding today and should have some images uploaded from the photographer soon, so check back to see what we did!

We also recently did the Rock ‘n Runway Benefit, which was a fashion show put on by my favorite salon, MARGI DAVID / SALON, and was created in order to raise money for the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
